We are all human and have both the masculine and feminine sides either way. It's just a matter of what's dominant.
Traditionally the man is at least framed as ideally masculine and the woman as feminine. That still largely applies today though there is greater awareness of exceptions and modern social trends that may make it less clear than it once may have been.
A balanced person has both the masculine and feminine side. Oftentimes men will bring out the masculine side in females, often unwittingly and same goes with women triggering femininity in men.
This explains why a man may be more logical on average usually but may be triggered to behave more emotionally when moved by a woman. It also explains why some women like to show off they're into nerdy or guy stuff, or even why they may retaliate against men by trying to take their roles. Men have done the same, especially in the case of becoming transgender which is more often biological males.
When understanding the gray area above, the points I make about men and women may be more useful since it gives you the abstract knowledge to understand the usual differences, interplay, psychology and sociology against real world situations and cases where it is always case-by-case. The general understanding balances the confusion and mystery that may be experienced throughout each unique scenario.
Ultimately whether man or woman, we need to learn forgiveness and patience. By men better understanding women better, and leading the way, this is possible.
